Prep of slides for tomorrow's Secretary meeting! Bill, I find myself full of questions. Any idea where those Slide 20 priorities for USGS came from? Was this what Andrea used at a previous one of these meetings? Has there been a previous version of Slides 21 and 22 (particularly the 6-month outlook)? Assuming we are free to change Slide 20, it seems that it should be consistent with the "Top 22" list of major accomplishments during the Trump Administration. Major actions for next 30 days: Agree should focus on the Critical Minerals FR notice as main story. Otherwise should draw on what we have provided in the Highlights. The Montana study seems like a likely candidate with the problem being that apparently it dropped off the radar when they decided not to issue a press release (what Leslie said at Director's staff). Major Actions in 6 months/year: That could include the ANWR assessment (1-1-19). Otherwise, I don't know that we have such a list. Perhaps the budget shop has one tied to the Greenbook that we could draw from. I'm out a good chunk of the afternoon -- hoping Judy/Joanne can help assemble. First off, Kerry Rae did not send around the new template until the day before the meeting setting off a mad scramble. This version from Bill Lukas is the first where the ANWR assessment appears including "finalizing". He states in his note that he is "Awaiting more current detail for AnWr. My info is from last Nov/Dec". So either he wasn't able to get an update in the time available or the update didn't convey the fact that the contract for reprocessing 2D seismic had been finalized.
