A stream that runs north-south and an associated small pond are located near the eastern edge of the property. Site Overview (Past inspections, site description, permits, etc.) According to Mr. Gdanski, contractors had recently installed a sewer line at the site. EPA observed a linear disturbance through the property where vegetation and trees had been removed. Manhole covers were intermittently spaced throughout the disturbance. EPA's Wetland Protection Section had not visited the site prior to this inspection. There is no record of a Section 404 permit issued for any work at the property. EPA started the inspection by observing the stream that runs north south near the eastern edge of the property. The stream is culverted under Pinebrook Road and was flowing at the time of the inspection. EPA then observed the earth disturbance, presumably created by the installation of the sewer line, and recorded the eastern edge of the disturbance using a handheld GPS. Vegetation in the ROW had been cleared and grubbed. Vegetation, soils, and hydrology data were collected at a sampling location near the toe of the fill slope. These data confirmed that the area was a wetland. EPA observed fill material, consisting of dirt and rock (including boulders), adjacent to the confirmed wetland areas.
