Hi Kevin, I enjoyed chatting at the CHFC reception - you've got a great toehold in the most interesting sector in our lives. The book that I mentioned is called "Energy: The Master Resource" by Rob Bradley. Rob has great experience in the industry and is the founder of the Institute for Energy Research. I'm sure that Mr. Winberg is familiar with him.
If you burn through that text quickly, other books worth checking out are the 2 on energy by Vaclav Smil - A Beginner's Guide or Energy and Civilization, A history. The latter is a bit more interesting. And of course, any of Dan Yergin's works are worth checking out, notably The Prize and The Quest. Dan's books tend to get more into the geopolitics. I was an IR major in college, and the geopolitics got me hooked on the energy sector via "The New Great Game" by Lutz Kleveman.
Please be in touch if there is anything that I can help with, Marcus
