Millan,
The Ohio Chemistry Technology Council would like to formally invite Administrator Pruitt to be the keynote speaker at our upcoming Annual Conference on April 23-24, 2018 in downtown Columbus, Ohio. Attached and below is the formal request along with some information about the event. I am also attaching a brochure that includes information about the organization, the strength of the industry in Ohio and a list of our many member companies. I am happy to provide any additional details you may need. It would be an honor to have him speak especially on the 30th anniversary of the organization.
Formal Request and Details
The Ohio Chemistry Technology Council (OCTC) is formally requesting Administrator Pruitt as our luncheon Keynote Speaker at our 30th Annual Conference on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. The event is being held at the Columbus Renaissance Hotel (50 N. 3rd Street, Columbus, 43215). We would certainly work around his schedule but would ask him to make remarks around noon and speak for approximately 30-40 minutes followed by Q&A. However, we would be happy to change the format to ensure he has plenty of time to take questions and interact with the audience. Prior speakers include current and former Governors, Congressman Johnson, Ohio EPA Director Butler, PPG President and CEO Michael McGarry, American Chemistry Council CEO Cal Dooley, and other distinguished speakers.
About OCTC and the Annual Conference
OCTC is the leading advocate for Ohio's chemical technology industry, the second largest manufacturing industry in Ohio and the sixth largest chemical manufacturing state in the nation. Since 1988, OCTC has represented the state's high-tech chemistry community before elected officials, the media and public.

attended from companies all across Ohio. It kicks off Monday evening with an awards dinner for member companies. Judges for this year's awards include a representative from Ohio EPA, Ohio Emergency Management Agency, higher education, and a member company. The full conference kicks off Tuesday morning with a day of distinguished speakers covering a variety of issues important to the chemical industry. The day ends with a legislative reception. We invite the Administrator to participate in any or all of the meeting as his schedule allows.

OCTC is the only organization solely representing Ohio's chemical technology industry, the second largest manufacturing industry in the state. Ohio is the sixth largest chemistry producing state in the nation.
OCTC prides itself on providing members value by tirelessly driving advocacy and voicing the clear, strong goals and concerns of Ohio's chemistry industry to our elected officials, media and the public.
Dear Ohio chemical industry professional,
It is my honor to represent OCTC and all of our wonderful member companies in the public policy arena by advancing the understanding and significance of chemistry in our modern lifestyle and promoting the highest standards of environmental, health, safety and security performance.
These are exciting times for the companies who make up Ohio's 43,275-strong chemical technology workforce. We continue to work for, and see, improvements in the business climate for chemical companies in Ohio.
Over the last year, OCTC has worked with state and federal legislative leaders to advance an agenda that avoided new taxes on our members, put energy supplies and costs front and center, revised outdated laws impacting chemical production and pushed for even more regulatory reform.
OCTC has been more proactive than ever in our advocacy efforts to pursue legislation that abolishes outdated municipal laws prohibiting the use of materials produced by member companies in water projects, banning unauthorized drone use around chemical facilities and defeating an increase in the Commercial Activity Tax and sales tax, just to name a few. OCTC is also working with the Administration, legislators and the Attorney General's office to weigh in on state and federal rules that will impact the industry and electricity costs.
But our work is not done. In the coming year, we anticipate an even more aggressive advocacy agenda that focuses on the issues that matter most to you. We pledge to continue providing you with extensive advocacy work and unparalleled, top quality programs.
As a member driven organization, OCTC is all about you. I promise to continually strive to meet your needs and ensure the issues and programs we work on provide you value and help drive the industry to further growth. I hope to have the chance to meet with you in person and thank you for giving me the opportunity to work on your behalf.
Sincerely,
