EPA Reschedules Public Hearing and Extends
Comment Period for Proposed NSPS for
Greenhouse Gas Emissions from New, Modified,
and Reconstructed Units
Dear Mandy, The EPA has rescheduled its public hearing and extended the public comment period on its proposal to revise the New Source Performance Standards (NSPS) for greenhouse gas emissions from new, modified, and reconstructed fossil fuel-fired power plants. The public hearing will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2019. Details on the hearing are available here. The deadline for pre-registration for the hearing is Noon EST on February 12, 2019. If you previously registered to speak at the hearing, you do not need to re-register. As earlier indicated, the American Coal Council will speak at this hearing. The public comment period for written comments on the proposal will be open through March 18, 2019. Comments should be identified by Docket number EPA--HQ--OAR-2013-0495 and submitted online at https://www.regulations.gov/.
