News & Updates
Trump Administration Proactively Curbs Wildfire Risks
In April, DOI Secretary Bernhardt signed a final decision to help maintain a system of 11,000 miles of strategically placed fuel breaks to control wildfires within a 223 million- acre area in portions of California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington. This final decision will not only help slow and potentially stop wildfires, but also help save the 40 million people who live in the region. We applaud the Trump administration for their continued commitment to protect our forests.
The Need for Minerals
This week, the International Energy Agency published a new analysis confirming the need for critical minerals. "Covid-19 has underscored the need to monitor the security of minerals supply for a clean energy future." Western Caucus Members have made it abundantly clear that we cannot continue to rely on foreign countries to provide our critical substances. Read the IEA's report here.
