I would like to invite you to be a keynote speaker at the 26th annual Williston Basin Petroleum Conference (WBPC) on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the Bismarck Event Center in Bismarck, North Dakota. I am holding a slot open for you on the WBPC agenda at approximately 8:30 a.m., immediately following North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum. We can certainly adjust if needed to accommodate your schedule.
The oil and gas industry in North Dakota applauded your selection to serve as the 52"d Secretary of the Interior. Your leadership and vision for managing public lands, while maximizing U.S. taxpayer revenue and streamlining processes for the Department, is just what North Dakota and other western states were looking for after the 2016 election.
The WBPC is a two-and-a-half-day international conference that is hosted by the North Dakota Petroleum Council (NDPC), the North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources (DMR), and the Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources. The WBPC brings together a wide array of industry CEOs, regulators, and political leaders from across the United States and Canada, all with a vested interest in the Williston Basin and its resources. We are expecting more than 2500 registrants for this conference.
In 2016, President Trump, then candidate Trump, attracted more than 7,000 North Dakotans to WBPC to hear him outline his energy policy.
Secretary Zinke, you would be a major highlight for this conference. WBPC attendees would be very interested in hearing more about your vision, plans and timeline for changes at the U.S. Department of Interior.
