Cameron Acting Assistant Secretary for Policy, Management and Budget Office of the Secretary of the Interior Desk 202 208 4242 Cell 202 706 9031 --------- Forwarded message --------From: Max Stier <max.stier@ourpublicservice.org> Date: Fri, Dec 15, 2017 at 3:50 PM Subject: New Date: 2017 Best Places to Work Awards Breakfast To: "scott cameron@ios.doi.gov" <scott cameron@ios.doi.gov> Cc: "mary pletcher@ios.doi.gov" <mary pletcher@ios.doi.gov>, "raymond limon@ios.doi.gov" <ravmond limon@ios.doi.gov> Dear Scott, I hope you received your invitation and can join us for the Best Places to Work in the Federal Government awards breakfast, which will now be held on Friday, January 26, 2018. As announced last week, OPM initially withheld employee survey data on 186 small agencies and subcomponents that were previously included in the Best Places to Work rankings. We appreciate that OPM reversed its decision and has now provided the missing data. The Partnership and Deloitte are analyzing the new data and will issue new rankings on January 26. This will not affect your agency's overall ranking, but in order to give enough time to process the new data and include additional agencies, we are pushing back the date of the awards breakfast to January 26. At that time, you will also see additional subcomponents, which will result in a significant change in the subcomponent rankings. Please see below for updated awards breakfast information and I hope to see you there. Best wishes, Max Stier President and CEO Partnership for Public Service Please join us Friday, January 26, 2018, for a breakfast to celebrate agencies for their performance in the 2017 Best Places to Work in the Federal Government rankings. Although your agency will not be among this year's award recipients, we encourage you to attend and network with fellow agency leaders about efforts to improve employee engagement and satisfaction. During the breakfast, we will also present the latest findings and trends from the Best Places to Work data. The Best Places to Work rankings are presented annually by the nonprofit, nonpartisan Partnership for Public Service and Deloitte. The rankings offer the most comprehensive assessment of how federal public servants view their jobs and workplaces, providing employee perspectives on leadership, pay, innovation, work/life balance and other issues. The rankings and accompanying data give leaders a way to measure the morale and health of the federal workforce as a whole and within individual departments, agencies and subcomponents. Our 2017 rankings were released on December 6 and are based on data from the Office of Personnel Management's Federal Employee Viewpoint survey, as well as responses collected by several agencies that independently surveyed their employees during the same time period. We will release revised rankings for small agencies and subcomponents in late January to include additional data provided by OPM on December 5. Please RSVP by Friday, January 19, to Amy Mayer at amayer@ourpublicservice.org or (202) 464-5382.
