Dear Leila,
While the nation continues its fight against the coronavirus pandemic, the National Coronavirus Recovery Commission (NCRC) is providing actionable recommendations for all levels of policymakers to save both lives and livelihoods. The NCRC is comprised of experts in health care, business, government, economics, disaster relief, human behavior, and more.
Just a few weeks ago, the NCRC released recommendations for the first two phases of a national recovery. These phases include:
Return to a more normal level of business activity at the regional level based on scientific data. Slow the spread of the coronavirus while expanding testing, reporting, and contact tracing.
We are overwhelmed by the positive response we've received and the action taken by policymakers in accordance with these recommendations
I am again pleased to announce that we are making great progress in delivering specific, actionable policy recommendations that will help federal, state, and local governments, businesses, and our civil society navigate through this crisis and toward recovery. Today, we are rolling out phases three and four of the five-phase plan to reopen America. These two phases provide 132 recommendations on how to:
Continue building the science; increasing the availability and rapidity of new diagnostic tests while supporting the acceleration and introduction of proven therapeutics and vaccines Establish U.S. leadership in leading the free world in economic recovery.
