I forwarded to our land team and will get back to you w deliverables and/or comments next week. Please note, the comments are quite extensive, and are aimed at developing the detailed documentation that the NPS would typically include in a request for an appraisal. Given the current state of the project's development I would expect that providing the information that we typically require may be a challenge. Accordingly, I am exploring the possibility that we might pursue an alternative method of developing an initial valuation, rather than pursuing a full-blown appraisal at this stage. An alternate method of valuation could give The Boring Company an estimated "pricetag" and would allow NPS to to identify potential exchange properties. It would also allow us to negotiate an agreement to exchange lands, which will be important for us to complete the NEPA process. As we have noted previously, completing the exchange, or even the appraisal, is not on the critical path to starting construction. Should we complete the NEPA process and make a decision to do the land exchange, the NPS could then issue a permit for construction, and then work to complete the exchange based on a more complete and more fully documented design. My hope that I can work with others in the Department next week and figure out how we might do the valuation. I will follow up with you after that discussion. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to discuss directly. Thanks. Bob V. said Peter would be able to tell us what these were, as our team is not aware of any deficiencies. At the meeting, one of Peter's colleagues said she could provide data as well, but we have not received anything. Is it possible for NPS to clarify these deficiencies?
