Dear Doug, Thank you very much for the warm welcome. As you saw in Virginia's note, Casey Hammond
will be the lead on your issues.
I just wanted to let you know it is a pleasure to hear from you and I appreciate the kind words.
Regards, Aurelia Skipwith Deputy Assistant Secretary Fish and Wildlife and Parks Department of Interior

Deputy Asst. Sect. Skipwith Congratulations on your recent appointment with the Department of Interior. You have a wonderful organization to work with and an exciting set of opportunities and challenges in the months and years ahead.
The American Fisheries Society (AFS) and The Wildlife Society (TWS) are the two leading scientific organizations in the U.S. and world that focus on fisheries and wildlife science. With nearly 20,000 scientists, resource managers, educators and students across the two organizations, we represent and provide the forum for some of the leading edge work in resource management, conservation an education. We also include among our membership a large number of staff within many of the Bureaus of DOI including USFWS, USGS, BLM, NPS and others.
We'd like to arrange, if at all possible, and opportunity to visit with you and provide you with information on our two organizations as well as to talk with you about some of the many ways that TWS and AFS are working with DOI currently and in the future to advance your work, support DOI staff, and improve natural resources management. Our offices are nearby in Bethesda, so it is very easy to work with your schedule to arrange a visit to Interior.
We'd be more than happy to provide you and your staff additional information on our organizations as needed. For a quick tour you can visit our web sites at:
The Wildlife Society - http://wildlife.org/ The American Fisheries Society - https://fisheries.org/
I'll also be contacting your colleague Katherine MacGregor about a similar visit since her portfolio includes agencies that we work with in a manner similar to those in which you have primary involvement. I would expect that scheduling the two of you together would be very challenging but if that was possible it may be helpful since many of the issues transcend all of Interior.
I sincerely hope that we can find a time to come down for an introduction and visit.
Best regards, Doug
