Please let me know if you have any questions! Thank you! July 26, 2017 The Honorable Scott Pruitt Administrator U.S. Environmental Protection Agency William Jefferson Clinton Federal Building 1200 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Washington, D.C. 2040 Dear Administrator Pruitt: 17cv1906 Sierra Club v. EPA ED_001523B_00003733-00001 On behalf of the members of the Renewable Fuels Association, the leading trade association for the U.S. ethanol industry, I would like to invite you to speak at the 23rd Annual National Ethanol Conference (NEC). The conference will be held February 13 14, 2018 at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio, Texas. The NEC is the most widely attended executive level conference for the ethanol industry. Last year, more than 1,000 industry leaders representing 38 states, the District of Columbia, and 14 countries attended. These professionals represent ethanol and petroleum industries; agriculture; fuel marketers and blenders; transportation; public policy makers; environment and energy; finance and brokers; industry suppliers; academic and research institutions; and consumer and environmental advocates. The NEC would be an excellent forum for you to highlight all that you and the Agency have done to promote a role for ethanol in the U.S. fuel market. Our attendees would appreciate hearing from you regarding the Agency's plans to ensure the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) remains on track with strong, annual obligations that follow congressional intent. Further, we would be interested in hearing how the Agency may assist the industry in removing regulatory burdens currently stifling competition and free enterprise in the fuel market, and denying American consumers access to lower cost fuels - including volatility restrictions that have discouraged market acceptance of higher level ethanol blends like E15. We look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience. I can be reached at (202) 315-2455 or bobd@ethanolrfa.org. Best regards, Bob Dinneen 17cv1906 Sierra Club v.
