Jackson, Ryan[jackson.ryan@epa.gov] Thomas Medaglia Fri 10/6/2017 2:51:39 PM Follow up meeting information you requested .
Good Morning Ryan,
At our meeting Jerry McPhee arranged, you suggested if we had any names or suggestions for opening on EPA staff including region 9, you would appreciate us sending them to you. Since Jerry is out fishing with Griles, the task has fallen on me!!
Pursuant to that, one of my non-lobbying clients is E & E, Inc which is an old environmental services company. Following is what their senior VP who I work thru had to offer:
Tom,
Two names: Wayne Nastri is a former Reg. 9 RA and was very highly regarded by both agency staff and the contractor community. Brian Runkel was Executive Director of the California Environmental Business Council and a well-respected environmental consultant. According to our folks in CA, both are competent and well respected.
Best regards, \KTD
I sent you the email introduction to Anne McCabe two days ago and the only thing I have left is to introduce you to Heid Grether who is the head of Michigan's Department of Environmental Quality.
Have a nice weekend and CONGRATS on finally nominating Andy for the Deputy position.

Subject: RE: Invitation for Administrator Pruitt to keynote WPC Annual Dinner
Hi Millan, Ryan and Sydney... we wanted to follow-up on the invite below for Administrator Pruitt. He has been named our 2017 Columbia Award recipient and we would like to have him accept the award and speak at our Annual Dinner event in Spokane, Washington later this month. This dinner event is one of the largest of its kind in the country, attended by more than 1,000 of our state's top officials, business leaders and citizens. It is a must-stop for some of the nation's top policy leaders. Last year, soon-to-be-named Defense Secretary Mattis joined us.
I believe Senator Doug Erickson of Washington state has also reached out to you, Ryan, regarding a potential trip to our state.
Do you have any update on the Administrator's travel plans and if he will be able to join us at this event?
Thanks so much for your help!

Hello Millan,
Washington Policy Center (WPC), a non-partisan, state-based think tank in Washington state would like to invite Administrator Pruitt to be the keynote speaker at our upcoming Annual Dinner in Spokane on September 27, 2017. As you may recall, we have been working to find an event in Washington state for Administrator Pruitt to participate in and we think our Annual Dinner with over 1,000 attendees would be of interest to him. We will also honor him with our Columbia Award at the event for his role and leadership in enacting sound environmental policy at the state and national level.
Our official invitation is below.
Please let me know if you have any questions at all. We sincerely appreciate his consideration of our invitation and look forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.
Thank you, Katie

Administrator Scott Pruitt Environmental Protection Agency 1200 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W. Washington, DC 20460 sent via email: hupp, millan@epa.gov; hupp.sydney@epa.gov
Dear Administrator Pruitt:
Washington Policy Center - one of the nation's leading independent, non-profit think tanks based in Washington state - would like to honor you with our 2017 Columbia Award at our Annual Dinner event this fall.
The award is our organization's highest honor - and we cordially invite you to accept it and be the keynote speaker at our gala dinner event to be held in Spokane, Washington on September 27,2017. We anticipate more than 1,000 will be in attendance at this gala dinner - one of the largest of its kind anywhere in the country - including lawmakers, business and community leaders, young professionals, and concerned citizens from across our state.
The Columbia Award is WPC's highest recognition in support of free-market principles and our mission to improve lives through free-market solutions. It is awarded to a national figure that exemplifies what the Columbia River embodies; a mighty river that spans Eastern and Western Washington, symbolizing both natural resources and resourcefulness of the human spirit. We

would like to honor you with this award for your leadership to enact sound environmental policy at the state and national level.
Washington Policy Center will be honored to host you and cover all first-class travel costs for you and a staff member or guest.
Year-in and year-out, WPC's Annual Dinner events are a must-stop for the nation's top policy leaders. Last year's Eastern Washington Annual Dinner featured Defense Secretary Gen. James Mattis and Dr. Charles Krauthammer. Past recipients of the Columbia Award include Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, former Defense Secretary Robert Gates, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and former Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels.
Washington Policy Center is a non-profit, non-partisan think tank similar to the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs, the Heritage Foundation and American Enterprise Institute. Our research and education advance the public debate and develop innovative public policy solutions. Our studies, policy briefs, events and conferences focus on issues, such as education reform, reducing the size of government, supporting free-market health care reform, lowering taxes, providing commonsense environmental solutions, and lessening the regulatory burden on citizens and businesses.
Over the past few years, dozens of our ideas have been passed by the legislature and signed into law. Citizens depend on our analysis to make decisions on our state's pressing public policy matters. Our work is featured in the media an average of over seven times a day and has been covered by national media including Forbes, USA Today, CBS News, Fox News, and The Wall Street Journal.
Thank you for your consideration of our request. We hope to hear from you at your earliest convenience so we can begin planning your visit to our state's second largest city. We can be reached at (509) 570-2384.
Sincerely,
17cv1906 Sierra Club v. EPA
