The one-day meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. There is also an opportunity to participate in a meeting focusing on nutrient management at Woods Hole on Monday, June 18, including presentations that will highlight some of innovative technologies and strategies to address nutrient pollution.
PARKING AND SECURITY AT EPA
Directions to the Narragansett facility are provided below. Visitor parking is available in the west lot past the main entrance. Please enter the EPA facility using the front lobby where you will sign in. Please notify the receptionist in the front lobby that you are here for a meeting with ORD and Wayne Munns. Someone on our staff will meet you in the main lobby and escort you to the conference room. All visitors must be accompanied by an EPA representative when inside EPA's facility. Please allow at least 10 minutes for security and parking, and bring a government-issued photo ID (e.g., Rl driver's license).
Closed-toe shoes are required to participate in the laboratory tour.
Immediately following the nutrient management meeting on June 18, we hope you will join us for a group dinner for the Region 1 states and EPA at the Coast Guard House in Narragansett, Rl at 6:45 PM ET. Please RSVP for this dinner to Amy Scheuer and Lisa Matthews if you are able to attend.

EPA's Atlantic Ecology Division is located 27 Tarzwell Drive, Narragansett, Rl 02882, approximately 30 miles south of Providence, Rl on the West Passage of Narragansett Bay. The Main Office/Laboratory building houses a reception area, office space for administrative support and scientific staff, conference rooms, and dry and wet laboratory space.
DIRECTIONS
From the North: Take Interstate 95 South. If coming from T.F. Green Airport in Warwick, follow the signs to join 1-95 South towards New York. Take Exit 9 (a left exit) onto Route 4 South. Stay on Route 4 and it will become Route 1 South. Continue on Route 1 until the traffic light at the intersection with Route 138 West and Bridgetown Road. Turn left onto Bridgetown Road. At the next traffic light (intersection of Bridgetown Rd and Route la), go straight through the intersection onto South Ferry Road, pass the old South Ferry Church at the top of a hill on the left, and turn left onto Tarzwell Drive. Go straight after the guard post. Visitor parking is available in the west lot past the main entrance.
From the South: From Route 1 North. At the intersection of Routes 1 & 138, bear right onto Bridgetown Road. At the next traffic light (intersection of Bridgetown Road and Route la), go straight through the intersection onto South Ferry Road, pass the old South Ferry Church at the top of a hill on the left, and turn left onto Tarzwell Drive. Go straight after the guard post. Visitor parking is available in the west lot past the main entrance.
From the West: Take Interstate 95 North to Exit 3A in Rhode Island (URI/Kingston exit). Yield onto Route 138 East. Continue on Route 138 past the University of Rhode Island (Kingston Campus) until the traffic light at the intersection with Routes 1 & 138. From the far right lane, go straight across the intersection onto Bridgetown Road. At the next traffic light (intersection of Bridgetown Road & Route la), go straight through the intersection onto South Ferry Road, pass the old South Ferry Church at the top of a hill on the left, and turn left onto Tarzwell Drive. Go straight after the guard post. Visitor parking is available in the west lot past the main entrance.
From the East: Take Interstate 195 West to 24 South to 138 West. Cross the Newport Bridge (toll) and the Jamestown Bridge. Take the first exit after the Jamestown Bridge onto Route la. At the end of the ramp, bear right towards Narragansett. Travel on Route 1 South until the traffic light at the intersection with South Ferry Road and Bridgetown Road. Make a left onto South Ferry Rd. Continue past the old South Ferry Church on the left. Turn left onto Tarzwell Drive. Go straight after the guard post. Visitor parking is available in the west lot past the main entrance.
From the Hampton Inn South Kingstown: From the hotel to EPA AED facility, it will be approximately a 12-minute drive. Leaving the hotel, head east on Hotel Dr. toward Front St. Hotel Dr. turns left and becomes Front St. Turn right at South County Commons Way. Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto US-1 N. Then, turn right onto Bridgetown Rd and continue onto South Ferry Rd. Turn left onto Tarzwell Dr., and EPA AED will be on the right. Go straight after the guard post. Visitor parking is available in the west lot past the main entrance.
