Box 4, Thorton-Cleveleys Blackpool FY5 4QD, England Dear Dr. Bennett: The purpose of this letter is two-fold: 1. At the suggestion of Mr. John T. Barr, I am writing to provide you with information concerning the changes in ownership of certain of the PVC-producing facilities in the U.S.A. that are listed in Table 9 of the Register of Liver Angiosarcoma Cases (page 45) of your February 1986 report. You may wish to note the following changes in your next report: a. Occidental Chemical Corporation is now the owner of the former Firestone plants in Pottstown (1948) and Plaquemine (1979), the former Hooker plant in Burlington, New Jersey (1967), the former Tenneco plants in Burlington, New Jersey (1962) and Pasadena, Texas (1975). The years in parenthesis are the start-up year for these plants. b. Vista Polymers is the successor company to Conoco at the Aberdeen, Mississippi (1963), and Oklahoma City (1971) plants. c. The Tenneco plant at Flemington, New Jersey was closed in 1985. You should also correct the spelling of "Pautosoto" to "Pantasote" and the location from "Passiac" to "Passaic" in the listings for 1956. 2. In January 1986, The Vinyl Institute offices were relocated to the address shown below. I would therefore appreciate having future Register Reports sent to me at our new address. Kindest regards.
