The Legal Strategy Forum is a two-day semiannual gathering of about 50 CEOs and chief legal officers of top organizations connected to our nation's freedom-based public interest legal movement. I am sure Secretary Zinke is familiar with many of the organizations - The Federalist Society, Pacific Legal Foundation, James Madison Center for Free Speech, Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, Institute for Justice, among others. Our participants are made up of organizations that are in the trenches working to defend property rights, religious liberty, free speech, and other constitutional issues. We bring them together to discuss timely and practical legal issues and ways in which they can increase their effectiveness, both in court and in the court of public opinion.

On behalf of The Heritage Foundation's Meese Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, I would like to invite you to serve as a keynote speaker at our 2018 Fall Legal Strategy Forum (LSF). The LSF is a two-day semi-annual gathering of about 50 CEOs and chief legal officers of top organizations connected to our nation's freedom-based public interest legal movement. I am sure you are familiar with many of the organizations - The Federalist Society, Pacific Legal Foundation, James Madison Center for Free Speech, Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, Institute for Justice, among others. Our participants are made up of organizations that are in the trenches working to defend property rights, religious liberty, free speech, and other constitutional issues. We bring them together to discuss timely and practical legal issues and ways in which they can increase their effectiveness, both in court and in the court of public opinion. The conference will be held on October 24-25 at The Heritage Foundation's headquarters in Washington, D.C. We would be delighted if you would serve as a keynote lunch speaker on Thursday, October 25.
We would enjoy hearing from you on any topic that you believe would be appropriate for our gathering. If you wish, we would be happy to advise you on possible topics of interest. We generally recommend prepared remarks of about 25-30 minutes, followed by Q&A of about the same amount of time. Past LSF speakers have included Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Justice Clarence Thomas, Senator Tom Cotton, Senator Tom Coburn, Senator Orrin Hatch, Justice Anthony Kennedy, Justice Samuel Alito, Paul Clement, Judge Ray Randolph, Judge Janice Rogers Brown, Michigan Supreme Court Justice Robert Young, Judge Carlos Bea, and Judge Diarmuid O'Scannlain, among others. We would be delighted to add your name to that list.
