The following action pLan was agreed upon at the meeting held Monday (2/11) with reference to the N1CSH "Recommended Precautionary Monitoring and Control Procedures for Polyminzation Processes Involving Vinyl Chloride" (attached):
I.
1. A survey of PVC losses will be made to determine new handling and housekeeping procedures for chips, chunks, BB's and spilLs - WCW A purge blower system will be designed to remove VCL buildups at pump seals, compressor shafts, etc. - EAR The vacuum system in the dryer building will be switched over to the Alpine blower from the Pangborn system - WCY/7WJK A summary of cyclone alternatives will bo written * KRM
2. Containers of D3's, chunks, etc. , will be covered - survey of available containers and covers - EAR The resin on the north side of the dryer building will be boxed - EAR Contact JIB on whether to enclose the material in the dump (bury, etc. ) EAR

D. Rubber suits (or equivalent) will be worn by reactor cleaners and others

The following plan was developed with reference to the J. T. Ban memo of. 2/8/74;
1. Design purge blower system for reactors and small VC1 emissions - DRM
2. Re-route blend tank vent for exhaust away from area of operator activity EAR
3. Study feasibility of increasing stripping efficiency - DHF/RRS
4. Add Nash seal water drain and centifuge effluent to leak surveillance list . DHF
