However, as a whole, monitored beaches across the country were open and without any advisories 94 percent of the time. Since 2002, the national percentage of beach days without beach closures or advisories has ranged between 93 and 96 percent. This information can be found in EPA's Beach Advisory and Closing Online Notification (BEACON) system (https://watersgeo.epa.gov/beacon2/).
